Ingredient Notes
- Brie: The star of the show! This soft, creamy cheese can be found in your local grocery store’s specialty cheese section. For this recipe, you’ll need to buy a whole wheel of brie. No need to remove the rind.
- Pistachios: We used roasted, salted pistachios for this recipe, and they were perfect.
- Hot Honey: You can buy hot honey at the store, or you can use our hot honey recipe and make your own.
Preparing the Brie
Scoring the top of your brie allows the toppings to soak in for maximum flavor. Use a sharp knife to cut a shallow grid pattern into the top rind before adding your pistachios and hot honey. Prefer a fully gooey center with the toppings in direct contact with all that delicious cheese? Trim the top rind entirely.
Dipper Ideas
There are so many delicious options that you can pair with this hot honey pistachio baked brie. You can use your favorite crackers, chips, artisan breads, toasted baguette slices, or crunchy crostini. The sweet and spicy flavors of the honey plus the savory crunch of the pistachios make this brie fun to pair with all kinds of flavors.
Food Safety for Parties
One of our favorite times to make and use baked brie is at parties or other gatherings. However, you shouldn’t let your baked brie sit out for more than two to four hours. If it’s a particularly warm day, you’ll definitely not want to keep it out longer than two hours, so just be aware of how long you left it out so it doesn’t go bad.
Storage Instructions
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes or until gooey again. Avoid microwaving, as it can alter the texture.
