The Best Blueberry Muffins are perfectly sweet, easy to make, and full of blueberry flavor. You’ll love this recipe from the world famous original Jordan Marsh department store muffins.
What is Jordan Marsh?
Jordan Marsh is a now defunct chain of department stores. They sold high end fashion, but were also well known for the blueberry muffins sold in their store cafe. This recipe is based off of the original Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins.
Can you use frozen blueberries to make blueberry muffins?
Yes you can! Thaw the berries by rinsing them under cold water. Pat them completely dry. You want to remove as much extra moisture as possible before using them in this muffin recipe.
How to keep muffins from sticking:
You can bake muffins directly in a muffin tin, or use paper liners. To keep the muffins from sticking, use a nonstick pan and lightly grease the pan with nonstick cooking spray. If using liners, spray the liners themselves with a light coating of nonstick cooking spray to keep the muffins from sticking to the wrapper.

Love love your best blueberry muffins. Have made them several times, and they are delicious. I need to add blueberries to my shopping list so that I can make them soon. Thank you for them. Marianne C. Whitman
I have always loved blueberry muffins! These are the best flavored and textured I’ve ever eaten. Soooooo very moist! When I went to get the milk to add to the batter, I was all out so I used a 1/2 cup of half and half instead and will probably always us it in future to but I’m done looking for the best blueberry muffin recipe cause THIS IS IT!!!!!!!?!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I made these and they are very good but I would recommend putting a little less blueberries unless you really like a lot but otherwise very delicious
Ok, I will never buy store muffins or packaged muffins mix ever again. I hat gotten blueberries from a local farm and froze them. Now I wish I had more of them. This will always be my go to recipe and I love how easy this recipe is. Thank you Chef. I have lost a lot of weight and am going to try to pack back on the pounds with these.
I just tried this recipe today and it turned out great! They’re probably the best blueberry muffin recipe that I’ve made! A keeper for sure. Do you know how long it would take to bake if I use the mini muffin pan instead of the regular muffin pan? Thanks
My 102 year old mom loves these! Thanks Rachel. I got local berries which I put in freezer to use whenever I make them for her. I only had self rising flour so I left out the baking powder and salt. Came out perfect.
Excellent, well-flavored muffin that’s tender and moist! I did add the juice/zest of a lemon and lemon extract to give a refreshing lift to the muffins. I highly recommend that everyone try this recipe!
Excellent blueberry muffin recipe! The sweetness of this recipe is just right, especially with slightly tangy berries. The muffins are fall apart soft and lovely. The tops with sugar reminded me of angel food cake. Wonderful combination of crisp, golden tops and super soft insides. We loved these warm.
It was very delicious
I was actually looking for a raspberry muffin recipe but like so much on this site that I just replaced the blueberries! Worked wonderfully and they’re great. I tend to like a little bit drier muffin on top not greasy like what you get in many stores. These were perfect.
