Why Our Recipe
- Milk gives a creamier texture and rich taste.
- Honey adds just the right touch of sweetness without being overpowering.
While you can certainly visit your local smoothie shop, why would you? Be armed and ready with some delicious strawberries and a few other ingredients, and you can whip up this deliciously creamy strawberry smoothie at home in minutes. Trust us, Jamba Juice has nothing on this smoothie!
Ingredient Notes
- Strawberries: While fresh strawberries are best during their peak season in June, for the best taste and texture year-round, consider using frozen strawberries. They ensure consistent flavor and contribute to a thicker consistency in the smoothie.
- Milk: Whole milk provides a creamier texture and richer taste, enhancing the overall mouthfeel of the smoothie. For a dairy-free alternative, almond, soy, or oat milk are excellent substitutes that still maintain a creamy texture.
- Vanilla Extract: Pure vanilla extract brings out the best flavor, adding a subtle complexity to the smoothie. Imitation vanilla can be used in a pinch without compromising too much on taste.
- Honey: Honey offers a natural sweetness that complements the tartness of the strawberries perfectly. If you prefer, a sugar substitute can also be used to tailor the sweetness to your liking.

I made this in the blender but instead of milk, used unsweetened Greek yogurt with the frozen strawberries (sometimes other berries), no ice, remaining ingredients; thin a bit with milk and enjoyed an ice-cream like dessert that’s healthy–pure strawberry heaven!
Thanks for sharing all your great recipes!
