We have heard your many requests and are here to deliver a bundt cake recipe for our most amazing chocolate cake. You are going to love it!
Some people may not quite understand the bundt cake design and why there is a hole in their cake, but bundt cakes have been wildly popular since the 1950s. Bundt cakes donโt share a common recipe, and are simply all about the common shape and design. Whether youโre a chocolate lover or not, weโre sure youโre going to love the most amazing chocolate bundt cake.
Greasing Your Pans:
You want to be sure to thoroughly grease and flour your bundt cake pans. With all of those ridges and designs, you’d be amazed at how easily batter sticks to the sides! Another popular option amongst home bakers is to use a homemade “miracle” pan release that is a mixture of flour, vegetable oil, and shortening that is then painted onto the bundt cake pan using a brush.
Bundt pan sizes:
Bundt pans come in all different sizes and designs, so be sure to pay attention to the cup measurement on your pan. Don’t know what size your bundt pan is? Use a liquid measuring cup to fill it to the top with water, measuring as you go. Once it reaches the point that it is just about to overflow, you’ll know what size your bundt pan is. When making a bundt cake, you want to fill the pan about 2/3rds of the way full. This recipe is designed for a 10-12 cup bundt cake pan and makes 8 cups of chocolate cake batter.
Oven Variations in Baking:
This recipe should take between 45-50 minutes to bake in the oven. However, the cake’s doneness is more important than how long it has been baking in the oven. All ovens vary a bit from each other, running either hot or cold, fanned or not. It is best to see recipe instructions as a guide for an approximation of baking time, but don’t worry if your cake is ready sooner or if it needs a few more minutes. You want to bake your chocolate bundt cake until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. For a truly accurate baking experience, we highly recommend an oven thermometer.
Storage Instructions:
Store your bundt cake, covered, at room temperature for up to 3 days.

This is an absolutely delicious recipe!!! My family loves it and I’ll be making it again for mothers day this weekend. I personally recommend putting the ganache on individual slices instead of the whole cake, it makes it less messy
Very tasty, but it stuck to my pan. I followed the directions exactly. I used a relatively new bundt pan and greased and cocoa powdered the pan. For some reason my poor cake got stuck and isn’t very attractive, but it tastes delicious.
Google “cake goop”, you mix shortening, oil and flour into a paste and use it as cake release on the pan. Your cake will pop right out
I always grease then flour and then I put the pan in the fridge for a few minutes. Works every time.
Wowed the whole family with this recipe last night for my daughter’s 16th birthday. The coffee is a great addition and really dials up the flavor! The ganache came out perfectly. Thank you for this awesome recipe!
I’m so glad I found this recipe! I’m new to baking and this was a simple, easy, but so delicious recipe!
I made this recipe but didnโt have sour cream or buttermilk. I substituted with natural plain yogurt and Mexican cream. Same amounts as sour cream and buttermilk. This turned out amazing!
SWEET MARSHMELLO JESUS! “Amazing Cake” …..Named that RIGHT. My lover and I were on lockdown at our mountaintop Rona hideout when we got a serious case of the munchies. I guess the title got my attention along with the fact that I felt it would concentrate my limited mental abilities. It just looked easy. Whipped it up and sat it outside to kool. I went to get it to frost, and there, just about to grab my Amazing Cake was an overweight raccoon! Anyway, we finally got to sit down with a couple “slabs” and OMG! I had to slap myself cause I thought for shore I had died and gone to the Promised Land. Anyway, I’m rambling. Just make the damn cake. You’re gonna love it!
Made this tonight. Cake is so moist and fluffy. I told each slice with homemade whipped cream. 10/10
Super easy and delicious!!! I had a dark metal Bundt pan so I turned the heat down by 25 degrees for the last 15 of 45 minutes, checked it at 45 min and it was baked perfectly. Thanks for posting this recipe!
This bundt cake was just delicious! I didnโt t want to make a big layer cake so I tried this recipe. So glad I did it is a winner. I served it to some of my girlfriends over coffee and they LOVED it too. Not overly sweet which surprised me. Definitely a keeper and I plan on making this again. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.
