Nice recipe
I added corn ๐ฝ
I still remember the delicious chicken a la king my Mother used to make. Sadly, I am very lactose intolerant now and have to avoid dairy products – butter is ok.
Please tell me if there is a good milk substitute I can use that won’t alter the taste!!!!
PS: My Mother always added a little Sherry at the end of cooking. Great addition!
We can’t guarantee the taste won’t be affected, but the best dairy-free milks for cooking tend to be soy and oat milk, and always unflavored. You just want a plant based milk with a higher fat percentage. Good luck!
This delish and very easy to do.
Made as directed except I used mixed frozen vegetables. It was delicious but could stand a little more seasoning.
I had a ton of chicken left from making chicken soup. Great recipe for using it up !!
This was very easy to make. I used my 4-H cooking demonstration training and measured everything first and lined each ingredient in order of addition. That is always helpful. I used the egg yolk/cream option and, yes, the sauce is velvety smooth. Yhis is definitely not a spicy dish and would be good for someone with a delicate digestive system who needs bland foods. We ate ours with rice. Easy and delicious!
I,a man cooked it,my lady loved it
Happy days
Good recipe but the eggs and cream made it too thick for us. Added more chicken broth. I also like to splash in a few drops of bitters.
I made this as directed but added some of the extras after reading previous reviews. It was excellent! I was feeling the need for some comfort food and this hit the spot! I did add onions with the mushrooms and about a Tbs of Better Than Bullion. Delicious!
Excellent recipe.
Only added onion to butter,
Get this !! Had no cream, did have a half tub of French onion dip that I cut down with a little milk with two whole eggs ๐, a can of Veg-All n BAMMO.
Rich awesomeness !! Thank you for the recipe.
It was excellent. Made it this evening for dinner, exactly as it was written. Will be one of my go to dishes in the future.
