Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Thighs have the most tender and juicy meat, with perfectly crisp skin. This is such a family favorite, we canโt get enough of it!
I know it feels like boneless, skinless chicken breasts are the coolest thing since sliced bread. I mean, they are everywhere right now. But we canโt get enough of the tender, juicy dark meat that chicken thighs have to offer. So often chicken is overcooked and dry, and you never know what youโre going to get when given chicken at dinner. Rest assured, these crispy oven baked chicken thighs are everything youโve ever wanted out of a piece of chicken. It doesnโt get any better than this!
This recipe is so versatile, you can prepare any cut of chicken this way. Are you a drumsticks lover? Us too. Chicken breasts? Leave that bone in and skin on and youโll never see chicken breasts the same again. You can even cut up a whole chicken and use it all in this recipe! Pair it with your favorite sides, like a good mashed potato, grilled corn, and crusty baguette, and you have yourself a to-die-for meal! Donโt take our word for it though, get cooking!

Can I use any cut of chicken?

What should I serve with Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Thighs?
Keep things old fashioned and serve with creamy mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable on the side. Also, good bread never disappoints on the side of oven baked chicken.

Can I cook vegetables with the chicken in the same dish?
Single sheet pan recipes save SO much extra time and effort. So long as your dish is large enough, you can easily add cubed potatoes or any other vegetable. Just make sure to toss your veggies in oil first and check appropriate cooking times so you donโt under or over cook them.

I make these all the time. They are simply wonderful. I do add the little round golden potatoes to my pan and one large onion sliced up. I add a little bit of gravy master as well. Been making them for years. TASTY!
This was so easy – even if you donโt like to cook! My entire family loved these. We eat a lot of chicken but typically I only use skinless. This calls for skin on thighs and am glad that is what I used. It comes out so crispy, juicy snd the seasoning is outstanding! Followed the recipe exactly. Make sure to trim fat on the bottom, baste at the end of cooking and key is broil but only for 1-2 minutes max.
My family loves this combo of spices.. i misread the recipe the 1st time i made it & mixed the olive oil with the spices. It made almost a paste and brushed on chicken.. it was amazing! I do that purposely now! Thank you
This was absolutely delicious! Super easy to make and so much flavor! Thanks for the recipe!
Such a simple and de-elicious recipe to serve to my Daibetes Type 2, CKD husband, and he REALLY enjoyed it.–Very grateful.
This was so easy to prep and cook. I made it with skinless chicken thighs and followed the recipe but didnโt grill the chicken at the end as I didnโt need to crisp the skin. The flavor was superb and there was a nice bite to the chicken. I will definitely be making it regularly as it fits in well with my nutritional plan.
Did this recipe and it was simply delicious. Thank you for a great recipe!!
Great recipes and easy to make. Iโve become so tired of cooking meat the same way all the time. Iโve already made several of your dishes and so far everyone loves them. Thanks for making my attempts at cooking more successful.
It was awesome! I was out of oregano and basil so I substituted both with Italian seasonings and it came out amazing! I also added a California blend of frozen veggies covered with EVOO and just salt, pepper and garlic powder. The juices from the chicken added great flavor! Next time, Iโll add potatoes or rice to see how that turns out. Thanks for an awesome recipe!
I made this recipe several times for my family, and they absolutely love it. The chicken is very juicy and flavorful.
