How do I make sure I make 12 even sized pretzels?
Weigh the dough in ounces before dividing the dough. Divide the weight by 12. This will tell you how much each dough ball should weigh. As you are pinching dough off, weigh each one and add or remove dough as needed to keep them a similar size. You can also eyeball it, and keep them about the size of golf balls.

How hot of water do I need? Whatโs the best method for this?
The easiest option is to simply use the hottest water possible from the tap. It does not have to be boiling, but you do want it very hot. Other options are to microwave, boil on stove, or use an electric hot water kettle.

Are there any flavor variations I can make?
Yes, there are so many flavors that work well with pretzels! Cinnamon and sugar is a popular flavor. To make these, simply sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top after brushing the pretzels with melted butter. Another favorite is cheese pretzels. After dunking in the baking soda mixture, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top right before baking. You will not want to brush melted butter on top of any cheese pretzels, as you do not want the added grease.

These were very easy and absolutely delicious. Iโve made more complicated pretzel recipes, and I wouldnโt bother with the fuss again now that Iโve tried these. Perfect snack for watching the football game.
Omg these are amazing!!! I made these today and we dipped them in cheese sauce!!! I wish I could post a picture of mine I made they look so pretty lol
Love love love this recipe and my grandkids (5 & 3) & I have so much fun making them. Of course they make other shapes and itโs surprising how much they can play around with the dough and they still come out tasting great! Wish I could include a photo.
These are DELICIOUS. I made them without any additional toppings except brushing them with a little melted butter. I made them to have with ham and bean soup, and they were perfect!
I just left a review about how I tried these and used my cast iron pans but forgot to give stars. ๐ Again- awesome recipe. Iโll only ever do these now.
Tried it because the ones at the mall were stale and old and Iโll only ever make these now. We tried the salt and the cinnamon/sugar and itโs perfect. My pans arenโt able to handle the 500 degrees in the oven so I used my cast irons and it turned out fine.
These pretzels are AMAZING!! They are easy and quick to make and everyone loves them.
My daughter made these and they were SO delicious!!!! She had a little trouble shaping them as the dough was fairly sticky but she got the hang of it. Totally recommend this recipe!!!!
This was sooooo good. Canโt stop making it. So easy and so delicious.
I made these this evening. They were awesome! I will make them again. Not as pretty as yours tho.
