My boyfriend lives in the barracks at an army base and does not have an oven. I got him a crock pot so he has a way to cook (they’re not allowed to even have hot plates!). Was thinking of taking another stab at these. I made these last year, and the BBQ sauce ended up getting burnt in the slow cooker, though the meat was still good. It was just me so I used a single rack. I put it in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours. Should I do more meat, or shorten the time? Thanks!
2 racks should work better. The BBQ sauce will always caramelize quite a lot anywhere the sauce touches the heating element side of the slow cooker.
