Easy Baked Chicken Meatballs are a total family favorite! You’ll love how easy they come together. They can be eaten plain, or served up in classics like spaghetti and meatballs and meatball subs.
Ground chicken meatballs are a guaranteed win at dinner. If your kid likes chicken nuggets, they will like these meatballs too. We’ve made sure to design a recipe that grow ups will love too. They are full of flavor! And we’ve added healthy fats in to make sure that your meatballs stay nice and moist.
PRO TIP: Olive oil is often added to ground poultry to add moisture and flavor. Because olive oil is a healthy fat, this keeps ground poultry a healthier option than ground beef without sacrificing that perfect juicy meatball.
Can I use ground turkey instead?
Yes, you can use ground turkey instead of ground chicken in this recipe to make turkey meatballs. The cooking time will remain the same. Ground turkey comes in various fat options. We recommend using a lean ground turkey.
How should I serve chicken meatballs?
You can serve meatballs plain, as a main dish (these chicken meatballs are definitely good enough!), or you can serve it up with spaghetti sauce for spaghetti and meatballs. Another classic option is to serve them up in meatball subs.

I made these for my Mum’s 90th Birthday party. They were one of the favourites of a huge buffet of food. Many people complimented them and asked for the recipe.
How can I do something like this Gluten free? They sound great and the comments prove it.
I have Celiac Disease and make these. Just sub in gluten-free breadcrumbs and use Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce.
Use GF cornflake crumbs in place of bread crumbs. I have a batch of chicken meatballs coming out of the oven right now.
what sauce would you recommend with the chicken meatalls
I made these last night for dinner using lean ground pork and they were THE BOMB!! These were the best meatballs I’ve ever eaten. The reason I went with pork is that they had a fresh ground pack that was 1.4 pounds , which I wanted more than one pound but less than 2, which would have been the case with chicken or turkey. I made them just as the recipe states and I use olive oil in the mix. I baked for about a half hour, flipped them over and cooked for another 15 or 20 minutes. You won’t be sorry serving these up for dinner!!!
This recipe looks great! I had WLS and am always looking for easy foods to pre-prep for my meals that are high in protein and somewhat low in carbs. This looks like a great choice. I’m going to try them this weekend.
Love these I use oatmeal instead of breadcrumbs!
I loved this recipe and i saved it into my personal dairy and i will try it sometimes although I’m not sure I’m a good cook. But I like cooking, and it’s a real family thing – an expression of love being together…..
These were delicious! We ate them plain without any sauce and I was surprised at how flavorful they were! Great recipe!
I loved this recipe as did my daughter who is an adult and baked it for her family. But we both found the cooking time was too long.
I cooked for 25 min perfect
I also found 30 minutes too long. Using my meat thermometer they registered 170 at only 17 minutes. Took them out and perfect. Have made this recipe often and find the meatballs dry if cooked the full 30 minutes ….
