Yes! Instead of placing the apples into a saucepan on the stove, simply place the apples (along with the water, lemon juice, and cinnamon stick) into either a slow cooker or an Instant Pot. Okay, just finished making this. Had to switch up on some of the apples. This turned out great. Will never buy store bought apple sauce again. Only downfall was I didn’t make as much as it looked. Only made a quart and 1-1/2 pints. Gonna have to double up on the recipe next time as this won’t last long. ๐Now to figure out how to turn some of this into apple butter. Almost tastes like apple butter already. Maybe reduce the sauce more?
My husbands loves apple crisp, but I had so many apples I decided to try apple sauce for the first time. It’s on low on the stove and it smells so good. I can’t wait to try it.
