Garlic French Bread Pizza
A layer of garlic butter is our secret to the best French Bread Pizza. It's never been easier to throw together an inexpensive pizza night!

Ingredients

loaf
French bread
or Italian loaf
1/2
cup
salted butter
softened
2
teaspoons
garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon
dried oregano
1/4
cup
grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 to 2
cups
pizza sauce
2
cups
shredded mozzarella cheese
4
ounces
pepperoni slices
or toppings as desired
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
Use a serrated knife to slice
1 loaf French bread
in half lengthwise. Place cut sides up on a large baking sheet.
In a mixing bowl, use a fork to combine
1/2 cup salted butter
,
2 teaspoons garlic powder
, and
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
. Mix until smooth.
Spread the butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread. Sprinkle with
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
.
Bake for 5 minutes, or until the surface is lightly browned.
Remove from oven and spread
1 1/2 to 2 cups pizza sauce
evenly over both halves of the bread.
Top with
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
. Add
4 ounces pepperoni slices
or other toppings as desired.
Return to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.
Let cool slightly. Slice into pieces and serve warm.
