brown sugar

cornstarch

salt

whole milk

Instructions
In a saucepan, whisk together brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk in whole milk.
Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and butter until the mixture is smooth and the butter has melted.
Pour into a bowl and press plastic wrap directly on top of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate 2 hours, until cold.
Just before serving, fold in chocolate chips.
