Cube 2 boneless skinless chicken breast into bite-size nugget pieces, about 1-inch in size.
In a small mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs, 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon dried basil, 2 teaspoons dried oregano, and 1 teaspoon salt.
Melt 1/2 cup salted butter in the microwave in 15-second increments. Dip the cubed chicken breasts into the melted butter, coating evenly. Transfer to the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to coat all sides. Place the coated chicken pieces on a plate or pan.
Preheat the air fryer to400°F (200°C).
Arrange the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. If needed, cook in batches.
Cook for 8-9 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
