Enjoy some island flavors with this Hawaiian Style Baked Brie. Gooey melted brie is crusted with coconut and macademia nut and topped with a mango pineapple sauce that's to die for!
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit Line a baking sheet or small baking dish with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Melt butter in a medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in pineapple, mango, ginger, and honey and cook until pineapple pieces are golden brown and caramelized, 5 to 7 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together egg and heavy cream until well combined. In another small bowl, stir together macadamia nuts and shredded coconut.
Roll brie in egg mixture until the outside wheel is coated. Roll in nut mixture to coat and place the brie wheel onto the prepared baking dish.
Use a sharp knife to cut off the top rind and discard. Spoon pineapple mango mixture on top of the exposed cheese.
Bake in the preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes until cheese is warm and melted. Serve with crackers or crusty bread.
