8
ounces
white or cremini mushrooms
sliced or diced
2
tablespoons
all-purpose flour
1
cup
vegetable broth

1
cup
milk

Instructions
Melt
2 tablespoons salted butter
in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add 8 ounces of sliced or diced mushrooms to the saucepan and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are softened and browned.
Sprinkle
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
over the mushrooms and stir to coat them evenly. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
Gradually pour in
1 cup vegetable broth
, followed by
1 cup milk
, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
Stir in
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
and increase the heat to high. Bring the gravy to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
Simmer the gravy for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, as desired.
