Homemade Bit-O-Honey blondies are the caramel-centered dessert you didn't know you needed. Simple to make, incredibly delicious, and a definite crowd-pleaser.
Melt and brown butter in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, until it turns golden and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare an 8x8 glass pan by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, blend the browned, cooled butter and sugar using a hand mixer.
Incorporate eggs and vanilla into the butter-sugar mixture until combined.
Add salt, baking powder, and flour to the mixture and combine until just integrated.
Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
While baking, place the Bit-O-Honey candies in a microwave-safe bowl with the milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals until the candies are melted and smooth.
Pour the melted Bit-O-Honey caramel over the partially baked blondie. Sprinkle the caramel with white chocolate chips.
Distribute the remaining blondie dough across the top in small spoonfuls.
Continue to bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, until the top has turned golden and the batter is set. Do not use a toothpick to test for doneness as the caramel center will remain gooey. Instead, look for firm edges and center.
