Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 5 minutes.
If using a flavor variation that does not contain citrus juice, lightly spritz the drumsticks with cooking oil or melted butter.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the paprika, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the drumsticks, making sure to cover them evenly. You can also rub the seasoning mixture underneath the skin if desired.
Place the drumsticks in the air fryer and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes. Flip the drumsticks halfway through the cooking time.
Once the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a minute.

Juice of 1 lemon (about 1/4 cup) 2 teaspoons ground cumin 2 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepperNote: There is no need to spritz chicken legs with oil if you are using a flavor variation with citrus juices.
