Our uncomplicated ground beef taco recipe uses common spices you probably already have on hand to create an easy weeknight meal that everybody always loves.
Add in ground beef. Use a spatula to break up the ground beef and cook for about 3-4 minutes to really let off any juices and grease.
Add in onion and seasonings. Stir to combine and continue to cook until beef is cooked through and onion is softened, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain off any excess grease.
Add in salsa, stir to combine, and let simmer 2 to 3 minutes to create a flavorful sauce.
Serve hot on corn or flour tortillas with desired toppings.
Notes
An 80/20 blend ground beef is your most flavorful option. It's okay to leave a tablespoon or two of grease in your tacos to add more flavor.
Instead of using the recipe's blend of taco seasoning spices, you can replace it with a 1-ounce taco seasoning packet, or 2 tablespoons from a jar.
