Baked spaghetti is a pasta bake that turns your classic spaghetti dinner into a cheesy casserole your family will love. It’s the ultimate quick and easy meal that can be made in advance.
Cook pasta in boiling water, according to package directions. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Pour olive oil into a large, deep skillet, over medium-high heat. Add in ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Brown beef, approximately 5 minutes. Add in diced onions. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until onions are soft and translucent, and ground beef is cooked through.
Add in garlic and tomato paste and toast for 2 minutes. Pour in crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir in basil and oregano and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until pasta is ready.
Once the pasta is done, add it to the meat sauce and stir to combine. Pour into a lightly greased 9x13 pan. Top with shredded cheeses.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.

Notes
Could use 48 ounces of jarred pasta sauce instead of the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Depending on the sauce you use, you may omit the additional herbs and seasonings.
