8 cupswatermelon cubesfrozen
2cupsginger ale soda
2wholelimes juiced, about 1/4 cup
In a blender, add in frozen watermelon cubes, lime juice, ginger ale and sugar.
Blend on high until smooth
Pour in glass and serve with a wedge of lime!
How to Freeze Watermelon Cubes:
Place your cubed watermelon in a single layer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer. Once frozen, remove cubed watermelon and place into a ziplock bag before then returning back to the freezer. Cut watermelon stored in the freezer should last for up to 3 months.
No time for frozen watermelon? No problem!
You will need to add in approximately 1-2 cups of ice cubes to your mix and double the sugar and lime juice to prevent the slushy's flavor from being diluted.
