Slow-Cooker Hawaiian Barbecue Chicken is made with a quick homemade sauce and can be enjoyed whole or shredded for a delicious BBQ chicken sandwich. It takes less than 10 minutes to get this into the slow cooker so you can set it and forget it!
Place chicken breasts into a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker. Top with pineapple and butter slices,
In a small bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, garlic, red pepper flakes, and mustard. Pour half of the sauce over chicken.
Cover and cook 4 to 5 hours on high, or 6 to 8 hours on low.
After the chicken has cooked, remove about a half of the juices, add in the remaining barbecue sauce.
Shred the chicken gently.
Serve up on a toasted bun!
