Slice the roast into thin slices. Place in the bottom of a slow cooker. Pour A.1. Sauce over the meat and top with minced garlic.
Scatter bell pepper and onion over the top. Season with salt and pepper.
Place the lid on and cook on low 6-8 hours, or high 3-4 hours.
Place split hoagie rolls out onto a baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and toast under the broiler setting for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.
