Grape salad is one of those classic side dishes that you would always see at holiday feasts. Now, salads are not typically our thing, but don’t let the name fool you because this salad is an exception. It’s unlike any other salad you will ever eat… it’s sweet, creamy, nutty and fruity and all flavors and textures work so well together. It’s like you are eating dessert.

Nut Options:

Traditionally, pecans are added in this salad for a bit of crunch but we have also successfully made it with walnuts and cashews. Alternatively, you can always omit nuts if needed.

Sour Cream Substitution:

For a healthier twist on this grape salad, feel free to replace the sour cream with plain greek yogurt.

Sugar Substitution:

If you prefer to not add granulated sugar to this salad and would rather use a more natural sweetener, go ahead and replace the sugar with honey.

Do I have to add coconut to creamy grape salad?

You certainly do not have to add coconut. It is totally optional in this dish, so if you are not a coconut fan, simply omit from the recipe.
