We survived our first week of summer! We kicked it off with a big family backyard barbecue for Memorial Day. One of my favorite parts of summer is all the grilling and backyard living. Nothing beats good food mixed with good company. I even got my first sunburn of the summer. I vow to get no more! I’ve got to be more responsible with the sunblock.
I have a goal this summer to do one extra fun thing per week with the kids. This week we headed to a special park that has a two story climbing structure. My kids love this park so it was a special treat. Hopefully this goal will fill our summer with trips to the zoo, swimming, and trips up the canyon to cool off.
This week’s meal plan has all the fixings of summer, including a couple of recipes that will take you out to the grill. I’m especially excited about the desserts this week, because they practically scream summer! Lemonade pie and dessert kabobs? Yes, please! I hope you guys are enjoying these weekly meal plans.
